The local population of KokTalat and the surrounding area played their part in the story of OP Crown. They ran and worked the Laundry (see pictures) they provided local labour and other services.

The Thai Prime Minister performed the 'Official Opening' of the Airfield. The locals turned out in what was serious numbers for a remote area. The image below shows the PM on 'walkabout' engageing with the 'Locals'.
